This delightfully interactive multi-play and learning experience combines the timeless pleasure of putting together a jigsaw puzzle with exciting visual and verbal game activities. The 52-piece puzzle displays a joyous scene showing dozens of children happily engaged in many different forms of outdoor play. The colorful, densely populated imagery helps youngsters develop a discriminating eye as they sort through and connect the pieces. Once assembled, the stage can be set for more fun and learning by placing the nearly two dozen game pieces around the puzzle, each of which displays a picture on one side and the word for it on the flipside. Starting with game pieces picture-side up, players locate each object shown on the border of the puzzle within the larger illustration, then search out the matching game piece and place it on the matching border image. As an additional activity, game pieces can be placed word-side up and matched to the border pictures. Develops motor skills, visual discrimination and language skills.
