Each pair of pages is devoted to a single song, with each line of the lyrics written in both English and Spanish. One page highlights the words while the opposing page displays a colorful illustration that incorporates Coco the dog into a scene representative of the lyrics' meaning. The songs can be started or stopped simply by pressing any of six play buttons that are visible regardless of which page one is on, with each button corresponding to an image taken from its matching page in the book. Each song is played twice through with soothing acoustic instrumentation prettily accompanying the singer, an approach that serves to reinforce recognition and recall of the words and music.
