In addition to real-life characters (siblings, parents, etc.), each story contains one character who embodies the principal at hand. This character shows up at key moments and functions almost like a coach, providing the boy, girl, or parent currently stuck in a moment of struggle with the voice of wisdom, patience, and clarity.
