In addition to a rich retelling of Disney and Pixar's original film, Inside Out, this app provides highly enjoyable and creative activities. These can be accessed from within the story or directly from a main menu. Kids use their own photos and videos to create memory spheres, audio-visual slices of life that convey a sense of emotion and that can be enhanced with special effects. Children also help create dream sequences by selecting objects to be plugged into the dream's storyline, often to hilarious effect. There are numerous surprise interactions sprinkled throughout the storybook's pages, and kids can even record and play their own voiceover on any page. Aside from all the fun to be had here, there are benefits that go beyond entertainment. The way Riley's emotions (personified as 5 colorful little characters) respond to events provides a valuable window that gives children a greater sense of how their own emotions work.
