Emotional ABCs gives parents, educators, and children the vocabulary and tools needed to help kids understand, communicate, and make healthy choices about what they're feeling. The program's core is a DVD whose concise chapters (a lively back-and-forth between a warm, expressive female host and a group of equally vivacious children) are engaging and highly effective, while a loveable, cartoon creature named Moody enhances the fun and learning. The behavior, questions, and dawning understand of the onscreen kids reveals that emotions are normal, that we all have them even when not aware of it. We learn to use facial expressions and body language as guides to emotions in others and sensations in our own bodies as indicators of what we're feeling.
