Aqua Dragons enables kids to create, care for, and observe an exotic world filled with living creatures in the comfort and privacy of their own home. The Deep Sea Habitat is a mini-aquarium kids fill with bottled water and then populate with creatures by emptying the contents of the eggs pouch into the water. The Aqua Dragons (formally known as artemia salina, a species of aquatic crustaceans that does not appear to have changed in 100 million years) immediately begin to hatch, and begin to be visible to the naked eye within a few days. They can grow to be up to 2 cm long (about 3/4 inch) and, in appearance, resemble little hairy-headed dragons with three eyes and long tails. They swim and play, and should only be fed once every few days. The accompanying booklet includes diagrams of the life cycle and anatomy of the Aqua Dragon as well as fascinating details about this amazing species.
