Part of what's so engaging about Army vs. Aliens is the unique look and high quality of its components. Each of the 18 special dice has quirky, fun artwork on each of its 6 sides - for Army dice, things like Troopers, Artillery, and Generals. On Alien dice, you'll find Invaders, Death Rays, Mother Ships, and more. Each side of a die is a different weapon with a specific rank that comes into play when attacking your opponent. The object is to capture all your opponent's dice. After the initial roll of all 18 dice, players take turns attacking or rallying (re-rolling dice). The game is swift-moving - each turn takes but a moment - with plenty of action. The plastic dice cups are also niftily illustrated and snap together to form an easy carrying case. The gratification factor is high on both sides, with each player typically capturing numerous dice during a game. All this contributes to players being very engaged from start to finish. And until the last die is captured, it's anybody's game! For 2 players.
