BOOM GOES THE DYNAMITE is an exciting and entertaining card game in which players aim to acquire the greatest possible number of cards by forming matches, and not just the traditional kind. The MATCHBOX is an ever-changing set of 9 face-down cards from which players take turns flipping two at a time looking for matches. If the cards don't display a matching number, the player who flipped them can use one or more IGNITE cards (each player has 3 in hand) to generate a match using addition, subtraction, multiplication or division. It's amazing to see how enthusiastic kids become about math when they're having fun and the competitive juices are flowing! Players' eagerness to collect all the cards used in creating the math-based matches sparks a surprising amount of quick thinking and facility with numbers. Players also frequently use special cards (DYNAMITE, TIMER AND WILD) to get ahead, sometimes suddenly and substantially.
