As soon as the train is turned on it says hello and invites the child to play, with the position of a switch determining whether the words are spoken in Chinese or English. Riding the train are 3 animal blocks: Banban, Frog and Chick. Each is a different color and rests on a connected base that fits into a same-shaped opening. Each time the child removes an animal from the train or fits it back in its place, the train issues a hello or goodbye to the animal by name and intermittent animal sounds responses that inspire lots of manual activity and motor skills development. Each time all 3 animals are properly placed on board, the train whistles and plays an upbeat song in recognition of the accomplishment.
