Blobby's Pizza employs imagination-stirring components and highly engaging play to help youngsters learn fractions, decimals and percentages by building whole pizzas out of pizza slice fraction cards. Kids find the fun to be powerfully appealing due to playful actions that include using pizza-eating monster cards to steal other players' pizza and an abundance of strategic options that get brains happily into high gear. The enjoyable food theme permeates the action: pizzas come in cheese, pepperoni, veggie and supreme, cards in hand are called a plate, the draw pile is the 'kitchen,' and columns of pizza slice cards players place face up in front of them as an annex to their hand (but at risk of being stolen) are called 'tables.' There are also specialized monster cards that can be used to change the direction of play, force players to swap hands or swap Tax & Tip cards. When a game is over, players apply the various prices on the menu to all pizzas they completed and tally up their total on charmingly realistic Guest Checks, the doing of which involves adding decimals and, in the case of advanced play, calculating percentages for tax and tip. The player with the highest bill wins! For 2 to 6 players.
