This Movie Edition of the outstanding Consensus game is great fun and highly socially interactive. For 3 to 8 players, it requires only a minute or two to learn. Each player has a pawn on the board. Ten 'Movie' cards, each with the name of a single movie, are placed face up on the board. A 'Movie Question' card is then turned face up and players vote privately, then publicly, for the movie card they feel is best suited as the answer to the question, explaining their choices along the way. If any card receives a majority of the votes, the players who voted for it advance one space on the board. With questions like 'which one of the following movies would the President of the USA be most likely to rent?' the answers are highly subjective, making this almost the opposite of a trivia game. This is a fun, pressure-free game in which players often feel free to let their inner comic come out.
