Doodle Quest is unlike any drawing game we've ever seen. It's not about your ability to draw an object or to get someone to guess your drawing. It's an obstacle course for the mind. Players work from an existing drawing, adding elements to it where they've been instructed to while avoiding obstacles. For example, one doodle quest requires players to add 12 little triangles (teeth) anywhere inside a shark's empty mouth without going outside the white area. Here's the mind-blower: you're not writing directly on the existing drawing. You can look at the drawing while you work, but each player is drawing on a separate transparent sheet, with nothing but their eye to guide them. When finished, each player overlays their sheet on top of the drawing to see how well they've done, earning points for fulfilling requirements and losing them for hitting obstacles. There are 18 double-side Quest Cards with kooky, clever sea-themed scenes that include beginner and advanced levels, making it easy for the entire family to enjoy. Also included are dry-erase pens, drawing boards, erasers, stencils, and scoring sheet. And, as always with Blue Orange Games, everything is top-notch. 1 to 4 players.
