This well-designed electronic version of Hangman takes playing the classic game to a new level of fun. With its ongoing interaction between players, physical and electronic components, and built-in sound effects, Electronic Hangman is like having an exciting TV game show in your home. Players take turns being the game master, who sets up a word of 8 letters or less using tiles that perch atop the Hangman unit facing away from the guessing player. With each correct guess, the master turns around the corresponding tiles and presses the Correct Letter button, causing the device to emit a cheering sound. With each wrong guess, the master presses the Wrong Letter button, causing a loud buzz and a segment of the scaffold figure to light up. There are 11 segments in all, so play continues until either the full word has been revealed or 11 wrong guesses have caused the figure to fully light up, which results in a musical sound effect that makes it clear the round has been lost. Players use built-in counters to keep score, and the self-contained unit includes a space for storing letter tiles when not in use. For 2 players or teams.
