FlipStir Puzzle is invigorating, maddening, simple, challenging, stimulating, and perhaps even a little diabolical. The goal - to order 10 plastic wedge-shaped pieces so that the snippets of artwork on their sides come together to form a whole - would be easy if it were possible to touch them with your hands. But those pieces are encased in a clear, sealed plastic cylinder. The only way to touch them is with a wand that extends from outside the cylinder into its interior. By manipulating the exterior end of the wand, one can use the L-shaped tip at its other end to slide, stir, and otherwise position pieces inside. The challenge is made greater by the fact that there is not a lot of space within the cylinder relative to the size of the pieces. Getting them past one another to where you want them is tricky. You're free to use gravity and motion as your allies - twist, turn, flip, and shake - in fact, there are no rules. Much of the time you'll be combining those forces, creating your own ingenious solution to an utterly ingenious puzzle.
