Gallop & Rock Learning Pony integrates physical and electronic educational features in a way that engages young children on every level. It is a colorfully designed rocking pony that quickly and easily transforms into a ride-on toy, a dual feature that allows the product's physical functions to grow with the child. Electronic features, activated by an on/off switch in the pony's mane, include more than 50 songs, melodies, sounds and phrases that teach kids colors, animals, action words, and more, aided by a motion sensor that detects children's movements. In Adventure Mode, children are delighted by playful horse sounds that ring out as they rock and ride, including realistic neighing and galloping. In Learning & Music Mode, more than a dozen familiar melodies (Pop Goes the Weasel, Old MacDonald, . . .) can be heard at normal tempo or can be played one note at a time by pressing the light up buttons. A Turning Disk with built-in colored beads on top of the pony's head triggers fun sounds and short tunes. A volume control switch allows for quieter play, while an automatic shut-off conserves battery life. Requires 2 AAA batteries.
