This pedometer is so small and attractive (slightly over a square inch) that no one will know you're wearing a device for measuring activity unless you tell them. It comes in a variety of kid-friendly designs that give it the appearance more of a fun, cool, accessory than the sophisticated digital pedometer it is. Kids will be highly motivated to stay in motion once they log on to the secure GeoPalz website, where they can enter and track the number of steps they've taken, earn points, and win prizes. The prizes consist of activity-based and educational products (Baseball Equipment, Hacky Sacks, Frisbees, etc.) There's also an online arcade where they can play a variety of extremely entertaining games (the number of steps walked equates to minutes of available playing time). The pedometer can be worn by easily clipping it to a shoe or hip. It uses a Tri-Axis accelerometer to accurately measure steps, and can be calibrated to take into consideration characteristics of the individual wearing it, enhancing that accuracy even further.
