Players develop reading skills by building words or sentences in this fun, fast-moving game. Each of the 54 Puzzle Cards contains both letters and illustrations and is part of a 3-card word-and-picture puzzle. Players take turns placing cards in the center of the table, either building a word or starting a new one (up to 4 words can be in play at a time). Playful illustrations provide visual cues as to which cards belong together, and each time a word is completed, that player reads the word aloud and collects those cards. One side of the cards has individual letters and is used for playing Build-a-Word games. The other side displays complete words for Build-a-Sentence games, using rhymes to supplement the illustrations in guiding word order. There are excellent play variations in the instructions, and the wordplay is perfectly suited to younger players. A delightful combination of fun and learning for 2 to 5 players.
