Imagicard does a wonderful job of merging physical play with the digital world by bringing the more than 30 cards in the Imagicard deck to life onscreen. In Paw Patrol, kids use their LeapPad tablet to zoom around the animated streets of Adventure Bay searching for citizens who need help and earning badges along the way. Each situation calls for a different Paw Patrol pup (construction, recycling, firefighter . . . ) kids must locate within the card deck and bring to life in the game by taking a picture of it. Cards displaying citizens as well as shapes and numbers are also integrated as players seek solutions to specific math-based problems encountered during the game. By alternating kids' attention between navigating the screen and hunting through the deck of cards, an unusual level of focus and concentration is brought into play. Children are riveted by the variety and intensity of finding and solving each new problem, while the fun and excitement of game play keeps them hungry for more.
