This game is an extremely entertaining way to spend the evening (or many evenings) with friends and family. There's not much heavy lifting when it comes to strategy (nice, relaxing fun), yet there's more than enough variety to make it plenty interesting. Players each start out with $10,000 in play money and move around the board on rolls of the dice, following instructions on the spaces as they go. The goal is to be the first player to accumulate 60 cows plus an amount of cash at least equal to what you started with. There are plenty of opportunities to buy cows ($500 a cow), and you get to collect $100 from the bank for each cow you own every time you circle the board (seems like a no-brainer, right?) BUT you have to watch your money - there are lots of expenses that will hit you along the way, and if you can't pay - you're out! There are also ways to lose both cows and money - one minute you're up, the next you're down - but one thing you can count on with Life on the Farm is fun! 2 to 6 players.
