Tell a group of kids that math is fun and you may get an eye roll or two cast in your direction. But put a deck of Math Splash War cards on the table, and in no time they will be proving your point - laughing, calling out answers, and greedily scooping up cards each time they win a round. The deck consists of 54 (3 inch X 5-1/4 inch) two-sided cards with fun Sea Buddies illustrations on both sides, plus 1 activity card and 1 answer card. Each round, players simultaneously flip up their top cards and, in turn, call out the addition or subtraction problem shown there before giving their answer. Careful! Give a wrong answer and any other player can call out the correct one and win your card. The player with the highest answer takes all the cards, bringing greater than/less than skills into play. If more than one player has the highest answer, the tied players flip and answer card after card until someone wins. First player to hold all the cards (or, for a quicker game, first player to win 3 wars) wins.
