First, kids paint and decorate the plastic garden dish, toadstools, perhaps some of the rocks, using the acrylic paints provided. Next, they add potting mix to the garden dish and begin arranging the multitude of accessories (Gnome House, moss rocks, river rocks, foam mushrooms, 3 charming little gnomes, and much more) in whatever way inspiration directs them. Wheat grass seeds are added, gently watered, the garden placed by a sunny window. Within a few days, seeds sprout, and kids tend the garden on an ongoing basis. Everything you need to plant the seeds of a lifelong love of crafts and gardening is included in the kit.
