This phenomenally fun storytelling game gets kids' creative juices and language skills flowing like nobody's business! Each of the 39 Camping Vacation cards that come with the set displays a different full-color illustration sufficiently rich in detail as to be strongly suggestive of a story in progress. What, exactly, that tale is and where it is headed is very much open to interpretation based on each player's past experiences and imaginative tendencies. Many of the illustrations are humorous in nature, a factor that generates a good deal of hilarity. One, for example, shows a moose contentedly resting beneath the night sky, its head and hindquarters poking from opposite ends of a too-small tent clearly not intended for its current occupant. The other 38 illustrations are similarly playful and evocative, many sharing common elements that tie them together both visually and story-wise. The instructions include several ways to play, each with a specific skills emphasis (storytelling, listening and collaboration), on top of which kids invariably invent a few of their own!
