The presentation of this finely-crafted wooden toy is such that youngsters can't seem to keep their eyes and hands off the Playboard and its delightful contents. The back row consists of 10 wooden posts in order of increasing height, with correspondingly tall stacks of wooden rings positioned on each post. The middle row is one of wide-ranging geometric shapes, each resting partially beneath the surface of the board in a matching-shaped indentation. The same holds true for the front row's colored wooden numbers 1 through 10. The shapes and numbers also share an enticing peekaboo-like feature such that any piece lifted from its enclosure reveals a hidden picture (animals under the shapes, foodstuffs beneath the numbers) whose background color matches that of the removed piece. There are so many different ways to play with this fabulous set that parents can easily contrive numerous structured activities for little ones to explore or simply put it out and watch kids happily investigate and experiment on their own.
