The creative exhilaration unleashed by playing with Qvolution is akin to the giddiness one might feel upon suddenly developing superpowers. Qvolution's colored cubes and rails contain strong imbedded magnets that allow them to freely connect to one another, resulting in the ability to assemble a wide variety of 3-dimensional structures that act as a transportation system for marbles. The walls of each cube are open, with straight or curved rails lining their interior that direct the marbles from one cube to another. Exterior rails create pathways between structures, so that marbles can alternate between riding the interior of cubes and bursting into open view. Two booklets contain easy step-by-step visuals for building structures ranging from simple to elaborate ones in which marbles criss cross multiple towers or follow circular and labyrinthine descents. The cubes (2.5 inches per side) and rails are very strongly built, visually quite appealing, and of the highest quality. Qvolution provides aural, tactile, visual, and intellectual stimulation, and the creative exploration and problem-solving kids experience while using the set are invaluable. Just as important, it's incredibly fun.
