Rodeo Rummy is quick-moving fun for 2 or more players. Its 9 special patented dice have traditional playing card faces on the six sides of each die, so that you have a complete deck of cards plus 2 jokers at your disposal with each roll. In addition to playing Rodeo Rummy, you can use the dice to play just about any popular card game. In Rodeo Rummy, the spinner dictates what you're aiming for during the three rolls you're given on your turn. The spinner conveys two pieces of information - what types of sets or runs will be worth points to you, and what bonus or penalty you may receive on that turn. For example, the pointer may dictate that only a clubs run will be worth points AND that any hearts face up at the end of your turn will cost you 5 points apiece. Or it might indicate that you must have sets of Aces and 10s and that 8s are wild. This information will guide your choices as to which dice to put aside and which to reroll on each of your first two rolls. After the 3rd roll, tally your points, adding or subtracting any bonus or penalty. Playing card games with dice has a more exciting, visceral energy than with cards. The clacking of the dice in the Dice Cup and as they hit the table, the fact that the results are suddenly visible for all to see - to the elation of some and disappointment of others - gives it a bated-breath quality, one that produces frequent cheers of delight.
