Everyone who tried a hand at SmartGames Pirates Crossfire found this single player puzzle game to be deliciously addictive fun. The goal is to fit all 8 playing pieces (Pirate Ships, Navy Ships and obstacles) on the game board in such a way that the orientation of the ships' cannons fulfills the objective for that particular challenge, which will either be Peace, Pirates Win, Navy Ships Win, or Total War. Because the ships and obstacles are attached to variously shaped and sized tiles and the space on the board finite, Pirates Crossfire is very much about spatial reasoning and problem solving. There are 80 challenges to explore ranging from easy to expert-level difficulty, enough to keep geniuses and regular folk alike happily occupied for countless hours. And that's a good thing, because Pirates Crossfire is not just powerfully fun and engaging. It gets the mind thinking and seeing in new and different ways, the benefits of which are wide ranging and transferrable.
