A good dice game is a pleasure to behold, and this one's a beauty. Stack Attack combines several elements that make for a great family game - luck, strategy, speed, simplicity, and visual appeal. Each player gets five brightly colored dice and matching Dice Cup for rolling. A clever item called the Quake Plate is the foundation on which players build a tower of dice, taking turns rolling and adding any that are 1 higher or 1 lower than the number on top. A player who rolls any qualifying dice must add at least one, but can add more (a player who rolls 4, 3, 3 when a 2 is on top could add just 3 or could add 3, 4 or 3, 4, 3). Each dice added is worth a point to the player who put it there, but the Quake Plate makes the tower unstable. If it falls on your turn you get no points for that round. However, if you get all of your dice on the tower, you are the ONLY player to score for that round. Risk vs. reward looms large. The first player to reach 20 points wins. For 2 to 4 players.
