Sudoku Sea is a wonderful single-player Sudoku variant that, by making alterations to grid size and/or imbedding clues in the puzzle setup, lets kids gradually build logical thinking and problem-solving skills amid entertaining game play. The set's 90 puzzles are numbered and ordered according to challenge level and start with a 6 x 6 grid with variously-shaped blocks of cells outlined to indicate that they, too, must fulfill the numeric requirements. Other included puzzles vary in grid size and include not only outlined blocks but also numeric indicators as to the sum the numbers within those blocks must add up to, information that when properly considered further guides the player towards the correct choices. Play takes place with each puzzle card slotted into an illustrated, playfully-themed game board that allows the tokens to remain magnetically secured in place during the solving process. Includes 45 two-sided puzzle cards, game board, 36 tokens and solution booklet.
