The classic game of Tic Tac Toe has been taken to another level. In TIC STAC TOE, play extends horizontally, vertically, and diagonally, and a win requires achieving 4-in-a-row in any of those 3 directions. The Xs and Os in this version stand upright and are stackable, with short pegs on their bottoms that fit snugly into holes in the board and the tops of other pieces. That means the board can be jostled heartily in the midst of a match without a single piece tumbling out of place. At the outset, the game proceeds with familiar simplicity. But as soon as the stacking starts, tracking all the possibilities while fending off an opponent's advances becomes quite a bit more challenging. When the win occurs, the loser usually didn't see it coming, either due to a lapse in concentration or an overly narrowed focus.
