Thin Air Brands' Talking Globe features a host of engaging educational activities through which kids interactively explore sights, sounds and fascinating details from around the world. Learning about a particular location on the globe is as simple as pointing the set's interactive smart pen at it, the act of which triggers informative audio from the pen's speaker. A menu of icons on the globe allows the child to select or change the type of information they would like to hear, such as a given country's name, capital, currency, climate, national anthem, the size of its area or population, the primary language spoken and a wide range of important geographic information. Choosing from the globe's game menu reverses the point-and-learn process, with the smart pen now posing geography-related questions (a total of 300 in all) the child answers by pointing with the smart pen. These rewarding activities and quizzes proved to be an extraordinarily effective way for youngsters to acquire a trove of information about the world in which we live and a lasting mental map of its geography!
