Tapple is easy-to-learn, fast-paced, involves outside-the-box thinking, and generates loads of laughter. It also has a Tapple wheel, an ingenious gizmo with 20 letters of the alphabet displayed on keys encircling the device's outer perimeter. When you press a letter, it stays down until you reset the wheel for a new round. In the center of the wheel is a timer button that, when pressed, beeps and begins making a harrowing tick-tock sound. The first player pulls a card from the stack of category cards and starts the timer. He has 10 seconds to name something in the category that begins with a letter on the Tapple wheel and to press that letter. Letters pressed can no longer be used for the round, so when the player to his left (and each subsequent player) resets the timer and attempts to name something in that same category, their job is that much harder, and creative thinking can come in handy. For example, if the category was 'Something Cold,' a player might answer 'winter,' 'corpses,' 'soft-serve ice cream,' or 'Minnesota.' Play continues, rapid-fire, with players being eliminated either by giving wrong answers or running out of time. The last remaining player wins that round's card, and a player with 3 cards wins the game. For 2 - 8 players.
