What Can Be Recycled's playful, vibrantly illustrated components and fun, easy-to-learn rules inspire youngsters to dive in and begin avidly recycling in the realm of play, which, as it turns out, is a wonderful way to learn the ins and outs of recycling in the real world! Both players get their own set of recycling bins with 4 slots labeled General Waste, Metal, Paper or Plastic. Players then progress through the entire 50-card item deck by drawing 5 cards at a time and sorting and recycling them into their bins according to what they believe the correct classification to be. Once the entire deck has been exhausted, players check to see if the cards were deposited in the right bins, with each correctly recycled card earning points for the player who placed it there. Adding to the excitement is the fact that one recycling category (randomly determined and typically different each round) earns players double points. Clever players take note of this and put extra thought and care into concluding which cards belong in the bonus-point category. This engaging, fast-moving game takes only 10 - 15 minutes to play, a feature that spurs many a rematch and plenty of fun and learning!
