The nine colored blocks in this game look innocent enough, but the title, 'Wonky' might be your first clue that something is off. That 'something' would be the blocks' shapes, whose subtle off-ness makes them a lot less stable than they look. There are three small, medium, and large blocks in three different colors. Players take turns playing cards from their hands that dictate what color or size block they might add to a tower in progress. Succeed, and your hand is smaller (the first player to run out of cards wins). Fail, and you must draw 3 more cards. The deck is peppered with action cards, which either pass the turn or reverse the direction of play, and combo cards that combine tower building with an action. If you have no playable card (e.g. your only card says to stack the small blue block, but it is already on the tower), you must draw from the deck until you find a playable card. These and other fine twists & turns cause frequent upsets. Until the final card is played, it's anybody's game!
