This game shines in so many ways! The clever name alone (Zen Battle: Survival of the Chillest) is worthy of an award. Fortunately, the highly-entertaining game play lived up to the ingenious title. Players, over the course of several turns, aim to get their Chakra cards aligned such that they are properly positioned in slots 1 through 7 and with a Mastery card in slot 8. Players who accomplish this feat transcend, earning themselves a token, with the first player to earn 4 tokens declared winner. One of many exciting aspects of Zen Battle is that, through a combination of luck and strategy (let's call it awareness), a player can extend their turn and play numerous cards in a fairly short period of time, a feature that keeps each round's outcome uncertain until the final card is played. Also spicing up the fun are Wild Chakra cards and the ability to temporarily treat Mastery cards as wild. Zen Battle is for 2 to 4 players, ages 8 and up!
