IdentiToy Interactive Toy Brick Baseplate lets children combine the use of their favorite 8mm stud building bricks with sounds and visuals generated by the IdentiToy app. Kids build on top of the thin, clear, plastic baseplate, then place it on top of their device's screen so that whatever landscape they have selected in the app shines through and becomes part of the imaginative play. The results can be quite dramatic. There are several colorful, action-filled landscapes pre-programmed in the app (a highway overpass with cars roaring by, a flashing dance floor with vivid colors pulsing to the music, a wild cosmos with rocket ships shooting along various trajectories), as well as highly editable templates that enable kids to create and save their own backgrounds. Those editable landscapes are easy to use and offer a range of colors, shapes, and patterns whose variability gets the creative juice flowing and adds to the fun.
